Vsaj tisti, ki smo imeli u\u0161esa naravnana na frekvenco Radia \u0160tudent in ki smo z navdu\u0161enjem za\u010deli nabavljati sijajne albume iz serije <em>\u00c9thiopiques<\/em>, ki je za\u010dela izhajati leta 1998. Po vseh teh letih me ta glasba, tako stara kot nova, vedno znova navdu\u0161uje. Te\u017eko bi se odlo\u010dil, kaj me pri njej najbolj pritegne: takoj prepoznavna pentatoni\u010dna lestvica, sugestivni vokali, enako mo\u010dni pri oto\u017enih baladah kot v razdivjano plesnih komadih, bo\u017eajo\u010di melanholi\u010dni saksofoni ali pa starinsko zvene\u010da \u00bbvintage\u00ab produkcija.<\/p>\n<p>Podobno kot afrobeat, etiopsko muziko danes igrajo po vsej obli \u2013 od ZDA prek evropskih dr\u017eav in tja do Avstralije. Nemalokrat imajo ti glasbeniki v svojih vrstah kakega \u010dlana (ponavadi pevca ali pevko) iz Etiopije ali pa redno sodelujejo s kakimi \u010dislanimi imeni. Pri nas smo na Drugi godbi lahko ob\u010dudovali tovrstno ustvarjalno mre\u017eenje nizozemskih The Ex in pokojnega velikana etiopskega saksofona G\u00e9tatch\u00e8wa M\u00e8kurie, po zaslugi istega festivala pa sta nas obiskala tudi dva izmed najbolj cenjenih etiopskih vokalistov, Mahmoud Ahmed in Ale\u0300maye\u0300hu Eshe\u0300te\u0301. The Ex so se kasneje pri nas predstavili \u0161e z novo generacijo muzi\u010distov Ililta Band, med novej\u0161imi podobnimi projekti pa gre izpostaviti avstralski bend Black Jesus Experience (zdru\u017euje ethio-groove s hiphopom), ki je zadnji album posnel z Mulatujem Astatkejem (pri nas videnim kar dvakrat). Na moji \u0161pillisti so se, spri\u010do zgoraj opisanih okoli\u0161\u010din, zna\u0161le tako dobro preverjene staroste iz Etiopije kot mlade sile iz vseh vetrov. Pa tudi (po zvoku in strukturi godbe) \u00bbpristne\u00ab zasedbe kot tiste, ki jim je etiopska muzika izhodi\u0161\u010de za eksperiment.<\/p>\n<p>Naj vabilo k poslu\u0161anju sklenem z napovedjo obiska \u0161e enega legendarnega muzi\u010dista iz zlatih \u010dasov.
