Pa tudi dandanes bi ga pogre\u0161ali, \u010de bi prehitro podlegel posledicam te\u017eke bolezni, a jim je na sre\u010do uspel uiti. Njegovi zna\u010dilni rifi in mani\u010dna odrska pojava \u0161e vedno potujejo po svetu, zdaj pa je tu tudi dvojna plo\u0161\u010da njegovih avtorskih dose\u017ekov, tako iz obdobja benda Dr. Feelgood kot pozneje v okrilju Solid Sendersov in Wilko Johnson Banda s sodrugom Blockheadom Normanom Watt-Royem in (zdaj \u017ee) dolgoletnim bobnarjem Dylanom Howeom. Na plo\u0161\u010di se pojavi tudi prvi bobnar Wilko Johnson Banda Salvatore Ramundo, na klavirju gostuje John Denton, Charles Shaar Murray in Jerry Tremaine pa pritegneta z orglicami. Vse pesmi so posnete med letoma 2008 in 2012, pred odlo\u010dilno diagnozo torej, Wilko pa je nekatere znova posnel z Rogerjem Daltreyjem za album <em>Going Back Home<\/em> (2014), ki naj bi bil njegov poslovilni, a \u0161e ni rekel zadnje besede.<\/p>\n<p>Tisti, ki ste pri\u010dakovali kompilacijo Feelgoodov, za hip pozabite na Leeja Brilleauxja, na Sparka in The Big Figure in prisluhnite Wilkovim izvedbam. V glasu jim morda res umanjka Leejevo bluesovsko hropenje, a Wilko je iskren pevec, njegov bluesovski glas ni hrope\u010d, je pa visok in intenziven. Kaj nas torej pri\u010daka na doti\u010dni dvojni zbirki? Iz obdobja Feelgoodov seveda ne umanjkajo <em>She Does It Right<\/em>, <em>Roxette<\/em>, <em>Paradise, Back In The Night <\/em>in <em>Sneaking Suspicion<\/em>, a velika ve\u010dina gradiva je iz postfeelgoodovskega obdobja, ko je Wilko ravno prav posodabljal svoj oster bluesovski zvok: <em>Barbed Wire Blues<\/em>, <em>All Right<\/em>, <em>Cairo Blues, Dr. Dupree, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_V5WlQ8u3jA\">Down By The Waterside<\/a>, I Really Love Your Rock&#8217;n&#8217;Roll<\/em> in zlasti <em>Turned 21<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Wilko Johnson se je s svojim triom vrnil na odre, avtorska \u017eilica zadnjih let pa je nekoliko bolj skrivnostna. Po okrevanju je napisal <a href=\"https:\/\/novamuska.org\/?p=15375\">knjigo<\/a>, sestavil <a href=\"https:\/\/novamuska.org\/?p=15371\">zbirko svojega najljub\u0161ega bluesa<\/a>, zdaj so pri Chessu pripravili tole retrospektivo, a nekako se nam zdi, da iz sebe \u0161e ni dal \u010disto vsega avtorskega gradiva.
