Podobna zloraba se je zgodila s pri\u010dujo\u010do plo\u0161\u010do, <em>Where No One Stands Alone<\/em>, ki prina\u0161a izbor Elvisove gospelovske glasbe; s prvega njegovega tovrstnega albuma <em>His Hand In Mine<\/em> sicer niti ene pesmi, \u010deravno je <em>Crying In The Chapel<\/em> bila posneta leta 1960, a je iz\u0161la \u0161ele pozneje. Tisti, ki so zadol\u017eeni za njegovo glasbeno zapu\u0161\u010dino, delajo po smrti z njim podobno, kot so delali, ko je bil \u0161e \u017eiv: dol jim visi. Pa ne gre za to, da bi Elvisovega glasu ne smeli napenjati na najrazli\u010dnej\u0161e nove kontekste, le bolj spo\u0161tljivo in zgodovinsko korektno bi se morali lotiti: izvirnikom ni namre\u010d ni\u010desar manjkalo in na novo podlo\u017eene pesmi v ni\u010demer ne prispevajo k \u00bbsodobnem\u00ab razumevanju Elvisa, zgolj ceneno zvenijo. Spremljevalni glasovi, ki so tudi novi, so bolj domi\u0161ljeni, \u010deprav se v\u010dasih preve\u010d trudijo, ampak in\u0161trumentali &#8230; clappingi v <em>So High<\/em>, cenena tolkala v <em>I&#8217;ve Got Confidence<\/em> &#8230; poslu\u0161ajte izvirnike, pa boste vedeli, o \u010dem govorim. Kot bi delali plo\u0161\u010do za Bubl\u00e9ja ali Helmuta Lottija, ne za Elvisa Presleyja. A Elvis ni Bubl\u00e9 ali Lotti &#8230; ali Humperdinck, \u010deravno je v sedemesetih letih v najbolj neposre\u010denih trenutkih v\u010dasih zvenel kot on. A Krajnc-kritik v teh svojih presojah, domala identi\u010dnih Krajncu-poslu\u0161alcu, ne glede na dolgo prakso z Elvisovo glasbo, ni subjektiven, kajti zgodovina govori zase. In \u010de je tole Elvis za nove generacije, bolje, da ga te niti ne sli\u0161ijo. Dobile bodo namre\u010d povsem napa\u010dno predstavo. Upajmo lahko torej samo, da bodo te nove generacije dovolj pametne in bodo \u0161le nazaj po izvirne albume. Jim bodo bolj v\u0161e\u010d? Verjetno odvisno od tega, kaj pravzaprav pri\u010dakujejo od Elvisa. \u010ce izhajajo iz tega, da je Elvis salonski pevec, potem &#8230;. hja, potem nimamo kaj. \u010ce pa izhajajo iz tega, da naj bi bil zlasti iskren izvajalec in celo kralj rokenrola, potem &#8230; nak, potem ne bo \u0161lo. Elvis za novo tiso\u010dletje bi lahko zvenel manj ceneno; saj bi se dalo narediti, \u010de bi se hotelo.
