Niz albumov tam od leta 1975, ko se je po smrti Grama Parsonsa\nreinkarnirala v countryrockerico, nosilko bakle t. i. kozmi\u010dne ameri\u0161ke glasbe,\njo je ustoli\u010dil v eno najpopularnej\u0161ih countryjevskih pevk, bila pa je tudi ena\nredkih izvoljenk, ki ji je uspel crossover v \u0161tevilne o\u017eine in \u0161irine\n\u00bbamericane\u00ab. Upo\u0161tevali so jo tako ljubitelji countryja kot folka in tudi rocka.\nVedno je znala izbirati pesmi in jih sestavljati v albume, a formula se je tam\nokrog leta 1981 za\u010dela ponavljati in leta 1983, ko se zaklju\u010di pri\u010dujo\u010da\nvinilna zbirka, ki je iz\u0161la na leto\u0161nji Dan plo\u0161\u010darn (albumi iz obdobja 1975-79\nso iz\u0161li lani), je album <em>White Shoes<\/em>\nbil prvi, ki ni ve\u010d tako mo\u010dno zamajal scene, naslednja studijska plo\u0161\u010da, <em>The Ballad of Sally Rose <\/em>(1985), ki je\nlani iz\u0161la posebej v zbirateljski razli\u010dici, pa je komercialno pogorela. Status\nEmmylou Harris se je v prej\u0161nji bli\u0161\u010d zares povrnil \u0161ele leta 1995 z albumom <em>Wrecking Ball<\/em>, \u010deravno je leta 1987\ndosegla velik uspeh kot del tria z Dolly Parton in Lindo Ronstadt, ne pa tudi\nsolo z bluegrassovsko-gospelovsko plo\u0161\u010do <em>Angel\nBand<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Album <em>White Shoes<\/em> ni bil slab, nasprotno, zlasti razli\u010dica Burnettove <em>Driving Wheel <\/em>je precej rohnela, vendar pa je kot celota bil \u00bb\u0161e ve\u010d starega\u00ab in glede na druge albume, ki so v paketu (<em>Roses In The Snow, Evangeline, Cimarron <\/em>in <em>The Last Date<\/em>), je celo sami Emmylou zvenel nekoliko utrujen. Konec sedemdesetih je namre\u010d nekoliko opustila countryrockovsko rabo in na albumih <em>Roses In The Snow <\/em>in <em>Cimarron <\/em>nekoliko intenzivneje raziskovala bluegrassovske pokrajine, kar je njen zvok osve\u017eilo. Album <em>Evangeline <\/em>je bil zbirka redkosti in neizdanih zadev iz countryrockovskih voda, <em>The Last Date<\/em> pa koncertni album, ki je pravzaprav pomenil zadnji izpev njenega The Hot Banda, zasedbe, ki br\u017e\u010das ostaja njena najbolj legendarna in spo\u0161tovana glasbena skupina, od tiste \u00bbElvisove\u00ab razli\u010dice do Crowella in Alberta Leeja. V tem konglomeratu je plo\u0161\u010da <em>White Shoes <\/em>nekak\u0161na bela vrana, album, ki bolj kot v pri\u010dujo\u010do dru\u017ebo sodi v dru\u017ebo plo\u0161\u010d <em>Sally Rose <\/em>in <em>Thirteen <\/em>(1986), a po tejle zbirki bo najbr\u017e ostal ustoli\u010den kot nekak\u0161en sopotnik njenih soni\u010dno nekolikanj druga\u010dnih nosilcev zvoka, kot \u00bbvrnitev\u00ab k staremu zvoku, \u010deprav ni\u010desar od tega zares ne dr\u017ei. Emmy se je namre\u010d \u0161e kako vra\u010dala tudi k bluegrassu. \u010ce pri njej lahko karkoli sploh imenujemo vra\u010danje \u2013 na bluegrassovskem albumu <em>Roses In The Snow<\/em>, ki stoji na \u010delu pri\u010dujo\u010de zbirke, namre\u010d najdemo tudi razli\u010dico pesmi <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_3q56AnNhmY\">The Boxer<\/a> <\/em>Paula Simona in bluegrassovsko okolje sporo\u010dilo pesmi nekako potisne v ospredje; Emmylou Harris navkljub zvo\u010dnim in aran\u017eerskim izletom v razli\u010dne predele ameri\u0161ke glasbe ni namre\u010d nikoli cincala, ko je pri\u0161lo do <em>pesmi<\/em> same; njena interpretacija je lahko katerokoli pesem postavila v katerokoli okolje, v\u010dasih bolj, v\u010dasih manj uspe\u0161no, a nikoli brez popolnega zaupanja vanjo. In nekako tako je treba poslu\u0161ati tudi tole zbirko. Navsezadnje nobena teh plo\u0161\u010d \u017ee dolgo ni bila na voljo v vinilni razli\u010dici &#8230; in zraven dobite \u0161e malo plo\u0161\u010do, kjer na strani A poje z Orbisonom tisti prosluli singl <em>That Lovin&#8217; You Feelin&#8217; Again <\/em>iz l. 1980, ki jima je ujel grammyja, na strani B pa je <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=90QQCr_Q1eQ\">Mr. Sandman<\/a><\/em>; najdete ga tudi na <em>Evangeline<\/em>, pa tudi na albumu <em>Trio <\/em>z Dolly in Lindo, \u010deravno ga je Emmy posnela tudi sama.
