A sir Tom Jones, ki bo naslednje leto zakorakal v deveto desetletje, je raziskovanje svojih korenin in zavezanost glasbi, ki ga je vedno najbolj navdihovala, spremenil v dokon\u010dno \u017eivljenjsko poslanstvo in \u0161e izmojstril odrsko umetnost, ki smo ji bili pri\u010da tudi v ljubljanskih Sto\u017eicah, kjer je tokrat nastopil prvi\u010d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nastop je glasbeno umeril tako, da ga je obdal z \u00bbnovimi\u00ab pesmimi, pesmimi mo\u010di, vere v blues, gospel in rokenrol, ki jih je vedno najraje pel, vmes pa posejal nekaj izbranih \u00bbzimzelenih\u00ab, ki takisto niso bili obi\u010dajne popevke ali celo \u0161lagerji, kot smo tudi \u017ee sli\u0161ali, pa\u010d pa je njihov razpon segel od popa (<em>It&#8217;s Not Unusual<\/em>), do satire (<em>What&#8217;s New Pussycat<\/em>), powerpopa (<em>I&#8217;ll Never Fall In Love Again<\/em>) in morilskih balad countryjevskega ali splo\u0161nega zna\u010daja (<em>Green Green Grass Of Home, Delilah<\/em>). Ste morda mislili, da obsojenec v <em>Green Green Grass <\/em>sanja o domu in materi, ker je osladno doma\u010dijski? Ne, zjutraj ga bodo usmrtili, \u010dakata ga \u017ee \u017eupnik in stra\u017ear. Ste mislili, da je nesre\u010dne\u017e v <em>Delilah <\/em>nekdo, ki (zaradi maria\u010dijevskega refrena v izvirniku) \u0161lagerira v TV-pocukrankah? Ne, mo\u017eakar je st\u00f4ril naklepni umor. In v ta nabor najbolj znanih hitov, med katerimi seveda ni umanjkala znamenita <em>Sexbomb<\/em> in ki jih zdaj izvaja manj \u00bbpopi\u0161\u00ab, z bluesrockovskim bendom, ki trga gate, je sir Tom poleg dveh pesmi Randyja Newmana napel cel nabor starega bluesa, ritem in bluesa in gospela: od uvodne Hookerjeve <em>Burning Hell <\/em>do zaklju\u010dne anga\u017eirane <em>Strange Things <\/em>Rosette Tharpe, vmes pa pesmi Little Willieja Johna, Blind Willieja Johnsona, Charlieja Richa\/Jerryja Leeja Lewisa in drugih, tudi tradicionalno <em>Run On, <\/em>ki je ostala iz \u00bbElvisovih let\u00ab, in <em>Cry To Me <\/em>Solomona Burka. Po osrednjem delu koncerta je sir Tom zapustil oder ob glasnem rockerskem sekanju benda, kar pa seveda \u0161e ni vse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V dodatku se je\nnajprej spomnil Louisa Armstronga in njegove zadnje velike uspe\u0161nice <em>What A\nWonderful World<\/em>, potem pa je po izvedbi <em>Kiss<\/em> iz Prin\u010devega predala,\nki jo je sam o\u017eivil leta 1988 v precej gromoglasnej\u0161i razli\u010dici, zaklju\u010dil\nkoncert z \u017ee omenjeno pesmijo Rosette Tharpe. Svet je zblojen, nosi sporo\u010dilo\nta pesem, in kaj nam ostane? Sir Tom Jones pravi, da pesem, kot je tudi lepo\nodinterpretiral v veli\u010dastni izvedbi Cohenove <em>Tower Of Song<\/em> v osr\u010dju\nkoncerta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V upanju na nov\nstudijski album \u017eelimo Tomu Jonesu sre\u010dno pot naprej po Evropi.
