Vem pa, da mi najprej v spominu ni ostal \u017eiv\u010dni glas Iana Curtisa, ne visoke basovske lege Petra Hooka, ne skope kitarske fraze Bernarda Sumnerja, ampak dolgi, votli odmevi bobnov Stephena Morrisa. Verzi so pri\u0161li \u0161ele pozneje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tisto, kar me je najbolj pritegnilo, torej niso bili zvoki \u010dlanov benda, ampak to, kako jih je njihov producent Martin Hannett uredil. Zapomnil sem si ime Joy Division, pa tudi ime producenta \u2013 in sku\u0161al sli\u0161ati vse, pri \u010demer je sodeloval. Tudi The Durutti Column, A Certain Ratio, Magazine in \u0161e kaj izpod njegove me\u0161alke so mi zveneli super, \u010deprav so zveneli druga\u010de kot Joy Division. Zelo druga\u010de. Tako je znal in hotel narediti ta nenavadni \u010dlovek, ki je kon\u010dno zvo\u010dno podobo sku\u0161al ustvarjati onkraj \u017eelja in mnenja glasbenikov, na njihovo grozo in obup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V mladosti sem poslu\u0161al ogromno razli\u010dne glasbe, od panka do ECM jazza in sodobne klasike, in da je prav Closer plo\u0161\u010da, ki mi je <em>najbli\u017eje<\/em>, sem osvestil \u0161ele veliko let pozneje. Na ve\u010der, ko smo \u0161li z Literaturino dru\u017ebo kdovezakaj v klub Nove revije na Cankarjevi ulici, kjer nisem bil skoraj nikoli, in nas je tam Toma\u017e Pengov izzval na tekmovanje v sklecah in med prvo skleco zaspal na preprogi, kakor spomine na ta ve\u010der obuja Uro\u0161 Zupan v pesmi <em>Moje univerze<\/em>. Nekdo (najbr\u017e jaz?) je za druga\u010dno popestritev ve\u010dera predlagal, da vsi spregovorimo o plo\u0161\u010di, ki nam je najbolj ostala (kdo bo prvi rekel <em>The Song Remains the Same<\/em>?), in za Closer se nisem odlo\u010dil le jaz, ampak tudi osem let mlaj\u0161i Urban Vovk. Joy Division \u017ee takrat niso bili generacijska ljubezen \u2013 in tudi zdaj, po toliko letih, je zanesljivo precej najstnikov \u0161irom sveta, ki jim je prav ta bend blizu, morda najbli\u017eje. Ni se imel \u010dasa postarati, saj nas je Curtis zapustil pri \u0161tiriindvajsetih, \u0161e pred izidom te plo\u0161\u010de \u2013 morda tudi zato traja desetletja in postaja neskon\u010dna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kar zna\u010dilno, da me je pritegnil studijski zvok, \u010deprav sem hodil na ogromno koncertov. Bil sem na prvih Pankrtih na moji gimnaziji Moste, pa skoraj na vseh naslednjih, na prvih Laibach v Ljubljani in \u0161e na nevemkoliko drugih koncertih, ampak zares se v glasbo \u0161e zdaj premaknem samo na samem, v svoji sobi. V izolaciji. In ko sem po mnogih letih v New Yorku sre\u010dal Petra Hooka v \u017eivo, ko je igral Closer s svojo zasedbo in je iz njega puhala <em>\u017eival rokenrola<\/em>, je bila prva stvar, na katero sem pomislil, da Ianu Curtisu ni bilo lahko ne v glavi, ne v bendu. Na eni strani <em>divji fantje<\/em>, na drugi eteri\u010dna in sublimna srce in duh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u017de nekajkrat sem prodal ali razdal skoraj vso glasbeno zbirko in za\u010del znova, glasba s <em>Closer <\/em>pa se me \u017ee vsa ta leta dr\u017ei. Spremlja pa me tudi beseda, ki je dala albumu naslov. Gledal sem film <em>Bli\u017eje <\/em>in u\u017eival, napisal sem zgodbo z enakim naslovom in veliko zgodb z enako vsebino. Beseda pridobiva dodatne pomene v \u010dasih nara\u0161\u010danja socialne distance. Ne mislim na meter in pol protivirusne razdalje, ampak na \u0161e ve\u010dje cepljenje slojev, vse manj\u0161i promil vse bolj bogatih in vse ve\u010d tistih na drugi strani. Na vse ve\u010dje izginevanje dialoga med razli\u010dno misle\u010dimi in \u010dute\u010dimi. Ali ne bi vsi skupaj, namesto da se zapiramo vsak v svoje male luknje, raje prisluhnili za\u010detku skladbe <em>Passover<\/em>? Nekateri pravijo, da izra\u017ea Curtisove samomorilske misli.
