Spomnim pa se, da je bilo v paketu pet cedejev, med katerimi je bil poleg omenjenega \u0161e <em>Figure 8<\/em> Elliotta Smitha. <em>Wildflowers<\/em> spada v tisto skupino meni najljub\u0161ih albumov, ki se mi ob prvem poslu\u0161anju niso zdeli ni\u010d kaj posebnega. Moji po\u010dasni mo\u017egani vedno potrebujejo malo ve\u010d \u010dasa, da dojamejo genialnost, ki se skriva za navidezno preprostostjo. Ko za\u010detna zadr\u017eanost prestopi v navdu\u0161enje ob novem odkritju, to ponavadi pomeni \u0161e dolgoletna poslu\u0161anja. Pa\u010d albumi, ki na tak ali druga\u010den na\u010din vsebujejo celo \u017eivljenje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Wildflowers<\/em> sem prvi\u010d poslu\u0161al v srednji \u0161oli. Poleg Pat Metheny &amp; Charlie Haden: <em>Beyond the Missouri Sky<\/em>, je bil v enem obdobju to eden izmed &nbsp;dveh albumov, ki sem jih poslu\u0161al pred spanjem. Posledica je bila, da dolgo \u010dasa nisem sli\u0161al druge polovice albuma, saj sem vsaki\u010d zaspal nekje med petim in \u0161estim komadom. Kljub temu, da sem imel CD, sem ga tako poslu\u0161al v dveh kosih, skoraj kot A in B stran vinilke. Spomnim se, da sem bil kasneje \u0161okiran, da se par mojih najljub\u0161ih komadov s tega albuma najde \u0161ele na drugi polovici.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Wildfowers<\/em> je prese\u010di\u0161\u010de dveh ljudi, katerih delo mi je bilo v ogromen navdih \u2013 Tom Petty in Rick Rubin. Z vsakim od njiju sem imel obdobje, ko nisem poslu\u0161al ni\u010d drugega kot samo njuno delo. Za vsakega posebej se spra\u0161ujem, kako je mogo\u010de, da je en \u010dlovek vpleten v toliko dobre muzike. Oba sta mojstra navidezno preproste in minimalisti\u010dne produkcije in oba imata globoko rada glasbo. Na <em>Wildflowers<\/em> jima je uspelo napraviti dovr\u0161ene aran\u017emaje, ki hkrati ohranjajo ogenj \u017eive izvedbe. Rick Rubin je nekje izjavil, da so potrebovali dve leti, da so dosegli, da album zveni, kakor da so ga posneli \u010dez vikend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tom Petty je v svojem prekratkem \u017eivljenju napisal goro fantasti\u010dnih komadov. O svojem procesu pisanja ni preve\u010d rad razpravljal \u2013 iz strahu, da bi s tem izgubil pot do vodnjaka. V spominu imam, da je v nekem intervjuju o <em>Wildflowers<\/em>, prvemu komadu na albumu, povedal, da je pisanje komada trajalo natanko tako dolgo, kot je dolg komad. Komad je enostavno \u00bbpadel ven\u00ab. Kasneje se je k njem ve\u010dkrat vrnil, \u010de je bilo morebiti potrebno kaj spremeniti, a s\u010dasoma se je sprijaznil, da je komad popoln tak\u0161en, kakr\u0161en je spontano nastal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u010ce ne bi pisanja tega \u010dlanka prelagal cel mesec, bi zamudil izid Tom Pettyjeve doma\u010de demo verzije druge skladbe iz albuma <em>You Don&#8217;t Know How It Feels<\/em>, ki je iz\u0161la v\u010deraj.&nbsp; Zanimivo je, da demo \u017ee vsebuje ve\u010dino glavnih elementov kon\u010dne studijske verzije. Presenetilo me je, da ta verzija vsebuje meni najljub\u0161o kitico iz albuma (<em>I&#8217;m so tired of being tired\/ sure as night will follow day\/ most things I worry about\/ never happen anyway<\/em>), ki pa ga na albumu najdemo v bridgeu zadnjega komada <em>Crawling Back To You<\/em>. Ta Pettyjev razpon med totalno spontanostjo, improvizacijo komada in potrpe\u017eljivim kombiniranjem materiala iz enega komada v drugega, dokler se tekst in glasba ne zdru\u017eita na najbolj naraven na\u010din, se mi zdi \u010dudovit, saj ponazarja trud in predanost popolnosti, le da pa ta popolnost vedno dopu\u0161\u010da tudi \u00bbnapake\u00ab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V razli\u010dnih obdobjih so mi bili najljub\u0161i razli\u010dni komadi. Po ponovnem poslu\u0161anju me je najbolj prevzel <em>Wake Up Time<\/em>. Heartbreakersi morajo biti eden najbolj\u0161ih bandov. Njihov \u00bbpocket\u00ab je neverjeten. Nikoli ne igrajo preve\u010d, nikoli tudi ne igrajo \u00bbsafe\u00ab in vedno tako, da je na prvem mestu komad, ki ga po\u010dasi gradijo in stopnjujejo. Nad njimi je fantasti\u010den vokal Pettyja, ki poje o odra\u0161\u010danju, o to\u010dki, ko nas sedanjost prislili, da se hkrati ozremo nazaj in naprej.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tom Petty je bil star malo \u010dez \u0161tiridest, ko je posnel Wildflowers. Spodudno za vse, ki mislijo, da glasbeniki najbolj\u0161e ustvarijo v zgodnjih dvajsetih.
