Pred tem je sicer izdal dva albuma, enega z zvo\u010dno knji\u017enico glasbe za reklame, film in televizijo in \u0161e enega z glasbo za film. \u0160ele Oxygene, ki ga je posnel v improviziranem studiu v svoji kuhinji, ga je naredil svetovno znanega. Je tudi sin velikana filmske glasbe Mauriceja Jarra, s katerim pa nista imela veliko stikov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V izvirniku je Oxygene iz\u0161el leta 1976, v letu nastanka punka, pri nas, v Jugoslaviji, pa je leto kasneje iz\u0161el prek licen\u010dne izdaje pri PGP RTB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ne spomnim se zakaj, kdaj in kje sem ga kupil, verjetno je bilo to na gramofonskem oddelku Elektrotehne v Bre\u017eicah \u017ee kmalu po izidu. Mogo\u010de sem o albumu kje prebral ali pa me je pritegnila naslovnica \u2013&nbsp; veli\u010dastna ilustracija Zemlje in lobanje. Album ima zaporedno \u0161tevilko 29 v moji plo\u0161\u010doteki, ovitek je oblepljen s selotejpom, da se robovi ne bi uni\u010dili, zato so se pa plo\u0161\u010de rade med sabo zlepile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kakorkoli \u017ee \u2026 Doma sem imel skromen Iskrin gramofon z enim zvo\u010dnikom. Danes bi temu rekli stru\u017enica, oziroma uni\u010devalec plo\u0161\u010d. Ko sem prvi\u010d v zatemnjeni sobi poslu\u0161al Oxyegene, me je popeljalo v vesolje, na svetove, planete, meglice, kjer \u0161e nikoli nisem bil. Ta album sem preposlu\u0161al \u0161e in \u0161e. Instinktivno sem ga po\u017eiral in ga imam sedaj verjetno shranjenega&nbsp;v podzavesti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ironi\u010dno je, seveda, da je ravno ta album mnogim pri\u010daral vesolje, saj je bil eden res prvih eksperimentalnih elektronskih&nbsp;albumov te vrste. No, in \u201coxygene\u201d oziroma kisik je nujen za proizvodnjo zvokov, in ker je v ve\u010dini vesolja vakuum, je tam tudi absolutna ti\u0161ina. Tako je kisik oziroma ozra\u010dje nujno ne le za nas, da dihamo, temve\u010d tudi za glasbo, ki je valovanje, da se \u0161iri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zagotovo pa sem bil prepri\u010dan, da je ta album nemogo\u010de odigrati v \u017eivo. In ravno temu sem bil pri\u010da, ko je Jarre album Oxygene leta 2008 v \u017eivo odigral v mali dvorani ljubljanske Hale Tivoli. Ob pomo\u010di \u0161tirih sodelavcev in obilice analogne elektronske opreme je pripravil veli\u010dasten in nepozaben ve\u010der.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In ker mi moj poklic omogo\u010da dolo\u010dene privilegije, je naneslo, da sem dobil ponudbo za (skoraj) ekskluziven intervju z Jeanom Michelom Jarrom pri njemu doma, v zelenem predmestju Pariza v okro\u017eju Bougival, kjer ima v hi\u0161i na otoku sredi reke Sene svoj doma\u010di studio. S pomo\u010djo organizatorja njegovega koncerta sva jaz in kolegica s POP TV-ja odletela k njemu v Pariz. Tam naj bi imel intervju pred njegovim koncertom v Ljubljani, ob predstavitvi njegovega veli\u010dastnega opusa sodelovanj z zelo razli\u010dnimi glasbeniki, ki je iz\u0161el na albumih <em>Electronica Volume 1<\/em> in <em>Electronica Volume <\/em>2. Pogovarjati se z njim je bilo lahkotno, saj sva se dotaknila \u0161tevilnih tem, ki so nama blizu, tudi Bacha in Kraftwerkov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prvo vpra\u0161anje, ki sem mu ga zastavil, se je glasilo: <em>&#8220;Va\u0161 album Oxygene je bil eden prvih, ki sem jih kupil. V sobo 13-letnika ste prinesli celotno vesolje. Podobno je bilo tudi s sorodnima albumoma \u00c9quinoxe in Magnetic Fields.&#8221;<\/em> Povedal mi je: \u00bb\u017delel sem povezati sodobno eksperimentalno glasbo in klasi\u010dno glasbo, narediti most med tem zvrstema. Moja elektronska glasba nima ni\u010d skupnega z ameri\u0161kim pop formatom. Prihaja iz Evrope in je neke vrste nadgradnja klasi\u010dne glasbe. Meni se zdijo moji albumi kot filmi, kot stari filmi, ko gre\u0161 v njih na potovanje. Ti albumi so kot knjiga, skladbe pa kot poglavja. Zato jim mora\u0161 slediti poglavje za poglavjem, pesem za pesmijo.
