Iz podzavestne kakofonije skre\u010dev, semplov in pod\u017eiga\u0161kih vzklikov ste se pred menoj udejanila dva albuma, dejansko cedejki, saj v mladih letih nikdar pri\u0161el do tega, da bi si lahko privo\u0161\u010dil platen\u0161pilerje.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V levem o\u010desu so mi odsevali \u010drnobeli obrisi mlade\u017ei z naslovke <em>Stakes Is High<\/em>, anti-bling-bling manifesta De La Soul. Trojica iz predmestnega Long Islanda ga je leta 1996 v sodelovanju s tedaj \u0161e fri\u0161nim producentom J-Dillo zapekla v odgovor na v etru prevladujo\u010do puhlo ble\u0161\u010davo estetiko, ki so jo z neonkami in ribjimi o\u010desi narekovali P-Diddy ter njemu podobna dru\u0161\u010dina. \u0160e 25 let pozneje za\u010dutim kurjo polt vsaki\u010d, ko Posdnuos \u010dez sempl Ahmada Jamala napove vrnitev ekipe, ki so jo v najosnovnej\u0161em jedru sestavljali z A Tribe Called Quest in The Jungle Brothers: \u00bbThat&#8217;s why the Native Tongues has officially been reinstated.\u00ab<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V desni zenici se so\u010dasno zrcali razbrazdano lunino povr\u0161je, po\u017eegnano z zavrtin\u010denim portretom <em>Killah Priesta<\/em>. <em>Heavy Mental<\/em> je z bibli\u010dnimi in filozofskimi referencami ter ikonoklazmom neizbrisno vplival na moje rapersko ustvarjanje in mi dal poguma zavihteti pero v smeri, kamor si pred tem nisem drznil pokukati. Seme, ki ga je posejal z gostovanjem na Gzovi plati <em>Liquid Swords<\/em>, je obrodilo desetkratno in brez ljuljke. Od bolj klasi\u010dnih <em>Cross My Heart<\/em> do vesoljskih <em>Heavy Mental <\/em>in <em>Atoms to Adams<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A ko ju ho\u010de\u0161 priporo\u010diti v posluh, si obe plo\u0161\u010di delita slabo lastnost: le ste\u017eka ju je najti na preto\u010dnih platformah (zaradi samopa\u0161nosti in nesposobnosti zalo\u017ebe Tommy Boy se na spletu sploh ne da legalno prisluhniti zgodnjim klasi\u010dnim platam De La Soulov) in rad bi vam prihranil paberkovanje po youtube seznamih predvajanja. Zato sem sedel v deloreana in se pomaknil v prihodnost. \u017dal sem namre\u010d eden tistih tipi\u010dnih poslu\u0161alcev glasbe, ki je z ve\u010dino okusa ostal med svojim dvajsetim in tridesetim letom. To je razlog, da tolikanj bolj cenim plo\u0161\u010de, ki se me tudi v sedanjosti dotaknejo tako, da si jih na\u017eigam na repeat, dokler ni internetni kabel \u010disto znucan. In lani je bila tak\u0161na samo ena. Z ruskimi kulturnimi referencami in jezikom oblo\u017eena <em>Dump YOD: Krutoy Edition<\/em> brooklynskega gostobesedne\u017ea, ki je pred sedmimi leti ob uletu na sceno pod imenom Your Old Droog privzdignil za celo go\u0161\u010do obrvi, katerih lastniki so ugibali, ali anonimni glas v resnici pripada legendarnemu Nasu, ki si je za\u017eelel sploviti nekaj neobremenjene godbe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Najino ovohavanje se ni za\u010delo kaj prida obetavno. Nekje na tviterjih me je sre\u010dal komad <em>Pravda<\/em> \u2013 br\u017e\u010das ga je delil sodelujo\u010di El-P \u2013 in na prvi sluh me je pustil tako hladnega, da sem se po\u010dutil skoraj kot tisti prsti na \u0161apah severnega medveda, ki ga omenja Andre 3000. Novodobna podlaga z zademfanimi bobni me je nagovorila \u0161ele, ko sem si jo postregel na slu\u0161alke. Takrat se je s kan\u010dek nafrfuljenimi vokali zlila v magijo, ki se je klokotajo\u010de prelila skozi moje sluhovode in mi pljuskala ob sinapse s hudobnimi najavami. Od Droogove premetenke \u00bbGot bread but you dusty like ciabatta\u00ab do aktualno nostalgi\u010dne <em>Black Thoughtove<\/em> \u00bbMy passport full of visas from back when going overseas was still allowed \/ No concern about diseases\u00ab. A krono komada odnese El-P z literarnico, ki je nagovorila knji\u017enega molja v meni: \u00bbEven in a grave stay in J&#8217;s and slick fades \/ Roll a pound and make it turn to a roach, call it a Kafka.\u00ab<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Po naslednjem singlu, <em>Kyrgyzstan<\/em>, kjer jo je urezal solisti\u010dno in me je kupil s krokarsko referenco: \u00bbLater that night at the bar getting faded like Boris Yeltsin\u00ab, me je pre\u0161inilo, da v tem desetletju \u0161e nisem tako nestrpno pri\u010dakoval nobene plo\u0161\u010de. \u0160e sedaj ne vem natanko, ali je plata res tako huda, ali sem zgolj iskal \u017earek eskapizma v du\u0161e\u010dem decembrskem lockdownu, toda Dump YOD: Krutoy Edition je postal moj soundtrack drugega vala. Zvo\u010dno zato\u010di\u0161\u010de pred zunanjostjo. Od <em>Matryoshke<\/em>, ki s kola\u017eem raznorodnih beatov posnema razpiranje matrjo\u0161k, prek <em>Malchishka Krutoy<\/em>, kjer gostuje ruski raper <em>Tvoy<\/em>, do <em>Uzbekistana<\/em>, kjer Phonte lahkotno poblasfemira: \u00bbI&#8217;m in the gym everyday with no off switch \/ So when they size me up for crucifixion, my cross fit.\u00ab In \u010de je dokaj bizarno poslu\u0161ati newyor\u010dana <em>billyja woodsa<\/em>, kako repa o zbranih delih Karla Marxa in hranjenju rac v Parku Gorky, raskavi glas Your Old Drooga zveni iskreno od prvega do zadnjega zloga. Sploh, kadar se dotika mladosti in odra\u0161\u010danja v deprivilegiranem okolju: \u00bbIf you were my complexion and poor \/ they just thought you were Spanish.\u00ab<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Javno raziskovanje in odkrivanje lastnih korenin ukrajinskega Juda, ki se je pri \u0161tirih letih s star\u0161i preselil v ZDA, med menjavanjem angle\u0161\u010dine in ru\u0161\u010dine presega nekdanje in aktualne blokovske delitve ter gradi zvo\u010dni most med vzhodom in zahodom. Podoba \u010dloveka, ki je od povsod, a obenem ne sodi nikamor.
