Uvodna naslovna skladba na polno zare\u017ee v uho. \u0160e preden ujamemo \u0161us bata se stampedo za hip sprevr\u017ee v humoristi\u010dni utrinek Toy Dolls, v naslednjem pa \u017ee na vso mo\u010d zavrti in rokenrolovska gib\u010dnost, podmazana s pihali, prikli\u010de iz gara\u017ee The Raunch Hands. Divji ples se nadaljuje s <em>Smokestack<\/em>, <em>Magaman <\/em>in <em>5000 Years<\/em>. Prere\u0161etajo nas kot da so NoMeansNo in D.O.A. stopili skupaj, da se vse sprevr\u017ee v spontani mosh pit. Nakar <em>Foreigner <\/em>ubere nekoliko po\u010dasnej\u0161i tempo, zagrabi s killingjokeovskim nabojem in nas spusti v bolj darkerski ambient. <em>Armadillo Man<\/em> spet udari z lestvico NoMeansNo v izvedbi Circle Jerks, ki se rokujejo s spevnimi Descendents. Naslednja brca <em>Circumstances <\/em>nogira naravnost v divji rokenrol in nemirne orglice podpihnejo cowpunkovski rodeo Nine Pound Hammer, Cocknoose, Tenderloin, The Lazy Cowgirls. Za pomiritev pade jazzy country soul \u0161lager <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ylZEoffVO0w\" target=\"_blank\">Red Crimes<\/a><\/em>. Ob brezhibnem rokovanju z instrumenti in gangovski napadalnosti s frontmanom na \u010delu izstopi kolektivna \u010dvrstost rockovskega kvinteta, ki se najbolj markanten izka\u017ee med ve\u010dglasnim ali spremljevalnim petjem. To se \u0161e bolj razplamti v naslednjih divjih komadih. V <em>Catatonic (I&#8217;m Not a Communist)<\/em> se zdru\u017eijo Zero Boys, Ramones in Dickies, medtem ko se<em> An Opportunity of a Lifetime<\/em> iz free jazz hard corea sprevr\u017ee v mu\u010dilno napravo. Tortura se vali tudi v <em>Pieces<\/em>, katerega uvod bi lahko pripisali tudi Demolition Group. Saksofon napihuje balon in se \u0161e enkrat izka\u017ee za mo\u010dan kontrapunkt rezkim kitaram. V \u017eaganju Round Eye ima zven in zavijanje saksofona o\u010di\u0161\u010dujo\u010do vlogo, podpihuje in razgiba ve\u010dplastnost \u0161usa Round Eye, ki v zadnji polovici plo\u0161\u010da zabrede v bolj mra\u010dne tone. Bend udari v smeri kovinske vibre vale\u017eanskih Future Of The Left, londonskih Part Chimp in nenazadnje IDLES. To je \u0161ele \u0161ok, ko odkrijemo, da gre za pet zahodnjakov, ki dela in \u017eivi v daljnem \u0160anghaju (\u010de vas matra, kako in kaj, i\u0161\u010dite in raziskujte sami po spletu). In Culture Shock Treatment ni prva plo\u0161\u010da, ampak \u017ee tretja plo\u0161\u010da tega kolektiva. Opravka imamo z nevarnim bendom. \u010ce bo kdo segel po <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/roundeyeband.bandcamp.com\/album\/round-eye-2\" target=\"_blank\">prvencu (2014)<\/a>, po\u0161teno zabeljenem s free jazzom, nekorektnostjo Captaina Beefhearta, frikovskimi The Mother of Invention in drugimi subverzivnimi elementi, se mu bo mogo\u010de prikazala Marija v dru\u017ebi peklen\u0161\u010dkov, z drugim <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/roundeyeband.bandcamp.com\/album\/monster-vision\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Monster Vision <\/em>(2017)<\/a>, izdanim za zalo\u017ebo Sudden Death kitarista in frontmana D.O.A. Joea \u00bbShitheada\u00ab Keithleya, so se \u017ee bolj nagnili k punk rockovskemu naboju. Sicer so ohranili zajebantski ekshibicionizem, za zraven pa presenetili (in mene dobesedeno kupili) s predelavo \u017elahtne <em>Cura Mi<\/em> italijanskih CCCP iz 1980 let. Predhodnja albuma sta bila nepredvidljiva, medtem ko zadnji nastopa kot \u010dvrst in kompakten punk rock projektil. Zagotovo sta k temu veliko prispevala tudi brezhibni basist Mike Watt iz Minutemen, \u00a0fIREHOSE\u2026 in zadnje postave The Stooges ter bobnar Bill Stevenson iz Black Flag, Descendents in ALL, ki sta poskrbela za produkcijo in miks. Ujela sta silovito, mastno in pristno neposrednost Round Eye. Zagotovo pa je treba vzeti v obzir tudi sporo\u010dilno plat plo\u0161\u010de. Kot pri\u0161leki na Kitajsko, kjer so na\u0161li svoj novi dom, so se lotili kitajskega neoliberal-komunisti\u010dnega imperija in ostro obdelujejo represijo v Hong Kongu in proti Ujgurom, rast mo\u010di Xi Jin Pinga, propagandne in nadzorne metode kitajskega ministrstva za kulturo. Seveda pou\u010dno tudi za na\u0161o stvarnost, vendar je v drugem planu.
