Pri\u010dujo\u010da plo\u0161\u010da avtorsko ni tako izdatna kot nekatere iz prej\u0161njih let, a \u0161tiri nove Williejeve pesmi, ki jih je soustvaril s svojim zdaj stalnim soavtorjem <em>Buddyjem Cannonom<\/em>, nadaljujejo niz relevantnih avtorskih del zadnjega desetletja, ko stari lisjak snema odli\u010dne albume in dokazuje, da ni mo\u010d njegovih besed ni\u010d manj\u0161a. Tu je seveda tudi <em>Trigger<\/em>, na novi plo\u0161\u010di izdatno prisoten. Glas je ponekod nekolikanj raskav, a Willie je dobil nazaj vi\u0161ine iz prej\u0161njih let in ob\u010dasna raskavost prispeva k bolj\u0161i interpretaciji. \u010ce \u017ee naslovno balado deloma odpoje z nekoliko ni\u017ejim godrnjajo\u010dim glasom, je \u017ee v naslednji, avtorski <em>Once Upon A Yesterday<\/em>, vokalno \u010dist in kontemplativen: a \u010de Willie poje o minljivosti in prehajanju let, kar je njegova avtorska rde\u010da nit zadnjega desetletja, pomeni, da bo \u017eivel \u0161e vsaj toliko, \u010de ne \u0161e dlje. Nova plo\u0161\u010da je \u0161e ena mojstrovina v nizu \u2013 minimalisti\u010dna po opremi in zvoku, po ob\u010dutju in izraznosti pa Willie, nikoli \u00bbprazen\u00ab pevec, kve\u010djemu napreduje iz plo\u0161\u010de v plo\u0161\u010do, kakor se tudi spodobi. <em>What If I&#8217;m Out Of My Mind<\/em>, <em>Kiss Me When We&#8217;re Through<\/em>, <em>Hank&#8217;s Guitar<\/em> in \u0161e ena Crowellova, <em>Many A Long And Lonesome Higway<\/em>, zazvenijo kot mogo\u010dno znamenje na poti: Willie si z albumi nikoli ne pi\u0161e testamenta in tudi \u010de na ovitku odhaja ali odide v son\u010dni zahod, pomeni to, da se zjutraj spet vidimo. To kro\u017eenje najbr\u017e ne bo trajalo ve\u010dno, \u017ee po inerciji ne, a o tem ne razmi\u0161ljamo. Williejevih albumov se veselimo, ne bojimo se ve\u010d, da bi, kot se je znalo zgoditi zlasti v osemdesetih letih in \u0161e kdaj pozneje, morda kaj preve\u010d sproduciral ali izbral preve\u010d polikane, manj vsebinske pesmi. <em>\u00bbTo pesem sem napisal zate,\u00ab<\/em> poje na novi plo\u0161\u010di, <em>\u00bbnadvse iskreno, z vso du\u0161o!\u00ab<\/em> Ko to poje devetdesetletnik, nam najbr\u017e da misliti. <em>\u00bbVem, da to najbr\u017e ni nekaj posebnega,\u00ab <\/em>nadaljuje, <em>\u00bba to pa\u010d po\u010dnem.\u00ab<\/em> Orglice <em>Mickeyja Raphaela<\/em> in <em>Eltringhamov<\/em> snare, nadgrajen s Triggerjem in rahlo kitaro <em>Bobbyja Terryja<\/em>, nas vrne v najbolj\u0161e \u010dase country &amp; western glasbe. Znajdemo se na meji z Williejem Nelsonom, tam nekje na robu vsega, ko spregovorijo samo \u0161e modrost in izku\u0161nje, melodije pa se prelivajo \u010dez obmejne gorske grebene. In za konec se Willie vpra\u0161a: koliko stane, da postane\u0161 svoboden? Staro vpra\u0161anje in nanj \u0161e nismo odgovorili. Willie pove: <em>\u00bbSem pisec pesmi in vedno bom, koliko torej stane, da se osvobodim?\u00ab<\/em> Je to odprt konec?
