Odlo\u010dil sem se za pot proti vzhodu in za <em><u>santur<\/u><\/em>, instrument, ki mi je posebej pri srcu. Uvr\u0161\u010damo ga med brenkala in sodi v razvejano dru\u017eino podobnih instrumentov, ki jih najdemo v \u0161tevilnih de\u017eelah. Njegov daljni sorodnik je Slovencem znan kot citre, drugim Evropejcem pa so izvedenke tega starodavnega instrumenta poznane pod drugimi imeni. Sre\u010damo ga v \u0161tevilnih de\u017eelah na trasi tako imenovane <em>svilne ceste<\/em> (in ob njej), vse od Balkana \u010dez bli\u017enji in srednji vzhod do daljnega vzhoda. Karel \u0160trekelj <\/em>proti koncu 19. stoletja, izdala pa Slovenska matica med leti 1895 in 1898 pod naslovom <em>Slovenske narodne pesmi<\/em>; na gramofonu pa se vrtita vinilki <em>Slovenske ljudske pesmi in glasbila<\/em>, ki sta nastali v prvi polovici 1980 let kot rezultat prou\u010devanja izro\u010dila in truda za ohranitev dedi\u0161\u010dine ljudskih godcev in njihove ustvarjalnosti. Takrat \u0161e niso govorili o <em>glasbah sveta<\/em>, temve\u010d se je za etno muziko uporabljal splo\u0161no raz\u0161irjen termin <em>folk glasba<\/em>. Ta muzika, iz katere je vse nastalo, me je vedno bolj zanimala in za\u010del sem iskati posnetke in si ustvarjati \u00bbknji\u017enico\u00ab gramofonskih plo\u0161\u010d. \u010ce ostanem pri slovenski ljudski glasbi, to ni bilo prav lahko iz dveh razlogov. Prvi je konstantno ma\u010dehovski odnos do lastne kulturne dedi\u0161\u010dine, drugi pa pojav narodnozabavne muzike, ki je od za\u010detka 1950 let kot kak\u0161na invazivna vrsta vedno bolj vsiljivo izrinjala vse drugo iz medijev in javnega \u017eivljenja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u010ce je bilo v \u00bbzlatem obdobju\u00ab slovenske popevke in narodnozabavne glasbe 1960 in 1970 let \u0161e mogo\u010de govoriti o prevladujo\u010dem trudu za kvaliteto popularne glasbe, se danes soo\u010damo s primitivizmom in bedo turbo folka. K temu niso pripomogli samo mediji, temve\u010d tudi popu\u0161\u010danje mno\u017ei\u010dnemu slabemu okusu s pomo\u010djo politike. Ne bom na \u0161iroko o tem, a nivo kvalitete je rapidno padel po zaslugi Julijane Bizjak Mlakar, ki je kot kulturna ministrica pred desetimi leti zakonsko zapovedala radijskim postajam obveznost nesorazmerne zapolnitve (ene tretjine) programskega \u010dasa s slovensko (t. j. doma\u010do) muziko, pa \u010de je ta dobra ali slaba, kar je bila (nadvse \u0161kodljiva) neumnost brez primere. Tudi Matija Terlep in Mira Omerzel Terlep sta izdala prvi od treh plo\u0161\u010d slovenske ljudske glasbe v Beogradu, tretjo pa v Zagrebu in ne pri doma\u010dem Helidonu ali Zalo\u017ebi kaset in plo\u0161\u010d RTV Ljubljana. Narodnjakov vseh sort je bilo povsod na tone, njihove vi\u017ee so bu\u010dale iz zvo\u010dnikov povsod in ne samo na veselicah, radijske postaje pa so nam predvajale ljudsko glasbo iz arhivov le izjemoma, po kapljicah (kot da bi bila nevaren strup, ki bi s primerjavo razkril bedo teko\u010de produkcije!). V Ljubljani si v 1970 letih te\u017eko pri\u0161el do imenitne serije plo\u0161\u010d <em>Pesme i igre naroda Jugoslavije<\/em>, povsem nemogo\u010de pa do posnetkov kakih Makedoncev ali Albancev s Kosova. Veljale so za siromakom dostopen nadomestek klavirja, ki je bil zaradi svoje relativne majhnosti tudi priro\u010den za transport, da ga je glasbenik lahko prena\u0161al s seboj, kar v starih \u010dasih ni bilo zanemarljivo. V zadnjega pol stoletja ponovno bele\u017eimo ve\u010dje zanimanje za igranje na ta milozvo\u010dni instrument. K popularizaciji sta zlasti pripomogla tudi njegova prisotnost v na\u0161em filmskem bestsellerju <em>Cvetje v jeseni<\/em> in najbolj znan slovenski citrar <em><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/6FPGUuHmF_k?si=E_dSs6v7aFzsrBaM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miha Dov\u017ean<\/a><\/em>. Slovencem pa je ostal v spominu tudi prekmurski <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.obrazislovenskihpokrajin.si\/oseba\/baranja-misko-mihael-miska\/\">Mi\u0161ko Baranja<\/a><\/em>, ki je v Beltin\u0161ki bandi igral na <em>cimbale<\/em>. Te so raz\u0161irjene v panonskem svetu, zato ne presene\u010da, da jih zasledimo (izjemoma) tudi v mad\u017earski jazzovski zasedbi saksofonista <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7GsoKzfXKOA\">Mihala Drescha<\/a><\/em>, zadeva pa celo funkcionira v kohabitaciji s tipi\u010dno jazzovskimi instrumenti, a je to res osamljen primer. Citre sicer lahko sre\u010damo v ve\u010d de\u017eelah srednje in vzhodne Evrope ter na Balkanu. Kakorkoli, pot me je vodila tudi preko te velike, ve\u010dmiljonske de\u017eele, saj je bilo moje zanimanje za etno glasbo prvotno usmerjeno proti jugovzhodu. Lahko bi rekel, da sem sledil Aleksandru Velikemu in Marcu Polu po svilni cesti proti daljnemu vzhodu in odkrival nove \u010dudovite svetove glasbe. Kak\u0161no lepoto, zvoke, slike in misli prikli\u010dejo \u0161irjave glasb sveta razli\u010dnih etnij, \u010de jim odpre\u0161 svoje srce! Iz Evrope preko bli\u017enjega in srednjega vzhoda do daljnovzhodnih de\u017eel se pojavlja na\u0161 dana\u0161nji izbrani instrument v nebroj razli\u010dicah in v najrazli\u010dnej\u0161ih kontekstih, do najbolj sofisticiranih solo recitalov perzijskih in indijskih mojstrov santurja. Igra se ga na razli\u010dne na\u010dine: nanj se lahko igra oz. brenka (mimogrede, sovra\u017eim izraza brenkati in brenkala) s konicami prstov, s trzalico in drsi po strunah ali izvablja zvoke s kladivci iz raznih materialov, ki poskrbijo za razli\u010dne teksture.
